Once a year, when the most beautiful historic cars make their way through the Alps, it's time again for the Arlberg Classic Car Rally. More than 100 teams from all over the world start in Lech to cover around 600 kilometres on three stages through Vorarlberg, Tyrol and Switzerland - always accompanied by the incomparable panorama of the mountains.
The route leads over well-known passes such as the Hahntennjoch, the Flexenpass gallery, into the Inn Valley, into the Appenzeller Land and to Lake Constance. On the first day, the participants ride through the famous Lech Canyon as part of the prologue. Technical precision, driving fun and a passion for historic vehicles take centre stage - not the competition. Nevertheless, around 20 special stages provide plenty of excitement.
Vehicles built up to 1975 are eligible to start, including numerous pre-war models. Lined up against the backdrop of Lech, the Jaguar XK, Bentley, Porsche 356, BMW 328 and VW Beetle look like museums on wheels - to the delight of drivers and spectators alike.
