The approximately 13.1-km route is moderately challenging and takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes. With 370 meters of elevation gain and 590 meters of elevation loss, a good level of basic fitness is recommended. The route follows well-maintained trails and mountain paths; in some places, confident riding skills are required. Along the way, special spots such as the Walser settlement of Bürstegg, the Auenfeld Valley, and the Batzenalpe invite you to take a short break.
